Sustainability for High School Leaders
IN FOCUS Seminar: Sustainability and the Economy, Society, and Environment June 28–July 2, 2010 For one week this summer, promising high school students will cultivate their roles as tomorrow's sustainability innovators. The program takes a comprehensive look at how sustainability informs different sectors of urban life - energy, business, buildings, food systems, and transportation. Through field trips, group projects, readings, and discussions, this interactive program provides a comprehensive grounding in the intersection of social, economic, and environmental challenges, and empowers students to translate their understanding into college plans, leadership goals, and potential careers.
