Like all of Foresight's educational offerings, the organization's Careers Workshops are led by dynamic professionals with in-depth experience in the field and a broad, well-informed perspective. They consistently receive high marks from attendees.
Peter Nicholson
Executive Director, Foresight Design Initiative
Broadly knowledgeable on sustainability issues, Peter leads a multifaceted career focused on the creative pursuit of greater social, environmental and economic sustainability. He consults on and undertakes innovative sustainable design projects for a diverse clientele, including government agencies, institutional nonprofits, and various businesses. Considered a highly adept discussion facilitator, he hosts Foresight's Green Drinks panels and is in regular demand as a guest speaker, moderator and educator. Peter is dedicated to the education of the next generation of sustainability-minded leaders and regularly mentors interns as well as teaches the organization's Immersion summer program.

Laura Flanigan
Consultant, Five Winds International
Laura is a Consultant at Five Winds International with 9 years of diverse experience in supporting sustainable business and environmental protection. Her work at Five Winds has included assistance to clients with product sustainability evaluation and design processes, communication of life cycle-based product information, sustainability strategy development and execution, developing sustainability reports, developing organizational environmental 'footprints', and other strategic and product sustainability program development and execution. Prior to joining Five Winds International, Laura served as Director and Co-founder of the Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance. She holds an MBA with a Manufacturing Concentration from the Ross School of Business and a MS in Sustainable Systems Analysis from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan, through the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. She received her B.A. from Indiana University.
Lindsay James
Manager, Sustainable Strategey, InterfaceFLOR
As Manager of Sustainable Strategy for Interface Inc.'s commercial flooring division, Lindsay is responsible for translating Interface's leadership in sustainability into the marketplace. As part of her role, she provides clarity and guidance for clients on challenges they are facing to become more sustainable within their respective organizations. She typically speaks on the business of sustainability, sustainability education (including best practices, trends and research), the importance for organizations to be transparent and therefore credible in communicating sustainability, and sustainable living. Lindsay is a LEED Accredited Professional and an active member in the Chicago Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. Lindsay's professional experience includes economic consulting with Analysis Group, commercial real estate acquisitions with Piedmont Commercial Properties, and environmental economics research with RTI International.
David Reynolds, P.E.
Vice President of Real Estate Services, IFF
David Reynolds has 20 years of experience in the sustainability sector. In addition to his current vocation, he has held several other senior positions including First Deputy Commissioner in Chicago's Department of Environment, and Vice President at EarthTech/AECOM Environmental. His experience in industry, government and consulting give him a unique and comprehensive perspective on environmental management. Having been involved in a diversity of projects, he possess extensive experience with brownfield assessment, clean-up and redevelopment, and sustainable design and construction. David is deeply committed to the Chicago sustainability community and serves on the board of the Friends of the Chicago River and Delta Institute.
