John Buck Lecture Hall at CAF
224 South Michigan Avenue  Chicago Architecture Foundation
Chicago,  IL 60605

The life mission of R. Buckminster Fuller—creator of the geodesic dome and the Dymaxion car—was to create design solutions that benefited humanity while consuming the fewest resources.

This talk considers Fuller’s contradictory vision of the environment, technology, and politics, and coincides with the exhibition, Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe, on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art March 14-June 21, 2009.

This talk is co-sponsored by Critical Encounters: Human|Nature, Columbia College Chicago, and the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
