What
Live music, dancing, food, and drink. All entries from the Challenge will be on display, outstanding entries announced and awards given. Network and build community around sustainability with like-minded people from a wide range of backgrounds and professions. Learn about the activities and plans of the Foresight Design Initiative, and receive a discount off the Sustainable Chicago Survival Kit membership package - a cool, sustainably-designed "artifact" with accompanying resource CD.

Who
Brave New World: A Party for a Sustainable Chicago is a community-wide celebration. Attendees will include students, government officials, non-profit organization staff members, designers of all sorts, urban planners, etc.

How Much
Entry donation is $20 (in advance), $25 at the door, or $10 for students and low-income or unemployed. Covers entertainment, food and one drink. Additional drinks (beer, wine, soda) available at cash bar. RSVP and pay in advance to be entered into a drawing for a free Sustainable Chicago Survival Kit.

Getting There
The entrance to the south lobby of the Merchandise Mart is in the middle of the building, off the south drive, right along the river.

Via the El: Take the Brown or Purple Line to the Merchandise Mart stop.

Via bus: Bus # 125 or 37.

Via car: Free parking (first come, first serve) is available along the Mart's north and south drives (this is a relatively recent development). There is a large (paid) parking lot at the corner of Kinzie and Wells.
