CHICAGO GREEN DRINKS--BUSINESS EDITION

Building on the success of Chicago Green Drinks, Green Drinks--Business Edition (formerly called Smart Business Hour) provides a forum for business professionals to meet like-minded colleagues to discuss concerns, network and generate business leads, and stay ahead of emerging local and national sustainability developments and trends.

Regular Format:
Green Drinks--Business Edition is intentionally focused on business issues to provide time-constrained participants the most benefit in a compact period of time. A cash bar and food menu is available.

5:30--6:30pm: Socializing and Networking
6:30--7:30pm: Moderated Discussion
7:30--8:00pm: Socializing and Networking

Information table: Attendees are invited to bring brochures/flyers for display on our information table.

Date & Time
Business Edition alternates between Wednesday and Thursday evenings (see events calendar for exact dates), 5:30-8:00pm. The panel discussion lasts from 6:30-7:30pm. Come when you can. No RSVP necessary.

METRA: The Metra Ogilvie Transportation Center (aka Northwestern Station) is about 1 block east and 3 1/2 blocks south.

The Department of the Environment is charged with protecting human health and the environment, improving the urban quality of life, and promoting economic development in Chicago. Smart Business Hour strives to coordinate programming with the seminars offered at the city's Chicago Center for Green Technology.

--Congress for New Urbanism (Chicago Chapter)
Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that was founded in 1993. We work with architects, developers, planners, and others involved in the creation of cities and towns, teaching them how to implement the principles of the New Urbanism. These principles include coherent regional planning, walkable neighborhoods, and attractive, accommodating civic space.

--Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance
MEEA is a leader in raising and sustaining the level of energy efficiency in the Midwest region by fostering increased market penetration of existing energy-efficient technologies and promoting new technologies, products and best practices, including renewable energy.

--Net Impact—Chicago Professional Chapter
Net Impact is an international network of emerging leaders committed to using the power of business to create a better world. It is one of the most progressive and influential networks of MBAs in existence today. Founded in 1993, the organization currently has over 11,000 members in over 100 business school and city chapters. Chicago Net Impact aims to bring together nonprofit, private, and public sector professionals to build a better and more sustainable city. Planning
Chicago Green Drinks--Business Edition is hosted by a group of dedicated volunteers. The members of this event planning committee collaborate with Foresight staff on selecting panel topics and inviting participants.
