VOLUNTEERS Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Chicago Green Drinks! Here is some introductory information on volunteering with us: EVENT VOLUNTEERING Currently we host two Chicago Green Drinks events per month: Chicago Green Drinks (general sustainability topics) and Green Drinks—Business Edition (sustainable business topics). Both are held at the Jefferson Tap & Grille from 5:30–8:30pm. We have added Chicago Green Drinks—North Shore on a trial basis, which is held at CJ Arthur’s in Wilmette. We usually need 3–4 volunteers at each event. Volunteers help ensure smooth operation of the event by helping with one or more of the following: Setting up before the event Greeting guests at the registration table Explaining to 1st time attendees what to expect for the evening Facilitating discussion among the 1st time attendees Packing up after the event Other tasks as they arise The duties are not very demanding, and instructions and advice will certainly be provided when you arrive.We will make a point to save you a seat so that you can enjoy the panel discussion. Also, you get free admission to the event and our sincere gratitude! Each month, all potential volunteers will receive an email presenting the dates and topics of the events for the upcoming month. You then reply with your availability for these events. Volunteers are chosen on a first-come first-served basis, with a couple backups. About 1 week before the event, volunteers receive an email reminder.
