About the Photo: Sustainability in Chicago
A one acre market garden, created by The Resource Center (a local non-profit) stands as a model of serious sustainable agriculture in the city of Chicago. This site, made fertile by compost from the Resource Center’s licensed facility, yields a wide variety of produce for the Green City Market, neighboring restaurants and local residents.
