Pivoting from Planning to Implementation
Illinois Agri-Food Alliance
Following the release of the Food and Agriculture Roadmap for Illinois in 2015, a statewide coalition—the Illinois Agri-Food Alliance (ILAFA)—was established to implement this comprehensive strategic plan. Since late 2016, Foresight has supported efforts from ILAFA’s leadership to surface opportunities and align partnerships, and realize its vision to establish Illinois as a leading innovation hub for the food and agricultural sector. Our consultation involved defining and launching multiple initiatives to engage stakeholders from across the supply chain, thereby identifying opportunities and fomenting collective action around pressing topics. Guiding this pivot from strategy to implementation has laid the groundwork for ILAFA’s long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
